Law Enforcement Behavioral Health Co-Responder Galesburg, IL 61401 Apply Overview Salary Range $35,568.00 - $55,000.00 Salary Position Type Full Time Job Shift Second Shift Apply Description Come Join Bridgeway's Behavioral Health Team! •
SECOND SHIFT ONLY
•The Law Enforcement Behavioral Health (mental health/substance use) Co-Responder position will work in collaboration with the local police department and knox county sheriff's department; this position will attend community law enforcement calls for individuals or situations that present with a mental health or substance use challenge. Will work with the law enforcement to address immediate needs of individuals in either crisis situations or those who may require resources and referrals for community services in order to address specific or on-going needs. This position is co-located and the assigned law enforcement department. To learn more about this position, please read the summarized list of duties below: Co-respond with law enforcement officers for calls dealing with mental health and/or substance use issues. Provide either immediate intervention or follow-up after a law enforcement interaction or intervention is completed. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a human services field related to behavioral health and/or law enforcement. Selected candidate will be trained in crisis intervention and other pertinent trainings as indicated by the Police Department and Bridgeway. Prior experience with crisis counseling, mental health, substance use and intervention services preferred. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and meets organization's insurability requirements. Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all background checks.
