Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and bilingual (English/Spanish) Adult and Adolescent Domestic Violence Counselor to join our team. This vital role involves providing trauma-informed counseling services to adult and adolescent clients who have experienced domestic violence. The counselor will deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, support crisis management efforts, and facilitate healing through individual and group counsleing sessions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, cultural competence, and a deep commitment to empowering survivors on their path to recovery. Duties Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices tailored to diverse client needs. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to manage situations effectively while maintaining client safety and well-being. Develop personalized service plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and best practices in social work and mental health counseling. Facilitate intake processes. Collaborate with teams Support clients through crisis management strategies Participate in telehealth counsling sessions utilizing telehealth platforms to expand access for clients unable to attend in-person appointments. Experience Proven experience in counseling within behavioral health or mental health settings, including outpatient or inpatient environments. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals Strong background in crisis management, behavior management, case management, and client care within diverse populations. Experience working with trauma-focused therapies such as trauma-informed care or gender issues counseling enhances the ability to serve our community effectively.
