Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time, EAP Counselor to work at our Merrillville, IN office location.
Position Summary:
The EAP Counselor helps bring our mission to life by assisting clients with various issues and areas of concern. The primary means for providing clinical service is through assessment and referral of clients. When appropriate, the counselor provides additional short-term counseling. The counselor also provides monitoring and follow-up of clients when indicated and follow-up with the employer when the client was referred formally.What You'll Do:
Conduct assessments to determine the nature of a client's mental health and or issues with substance misuse. Develop counseling goals based on the assessment. Provide one-on-one counseling and follow-up, including follow-up to employers. Provide education about substance misuse, risks, symptoms, and impacts on personal and professional life. Provide crisis management services to nearby accounts that the office services. Identify external resources including treatment facilities, treatment providers, and support groups. Follow-up with these resources for the clients whom you refer there. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information; adhere to legal and ethical guidelines. Maintain accurate records of client assessments, progress and outcomes. Collaborate with HR and or managers . Work with medical professionals and or other treatment providers to provide comprehensive coordination of care to clients.What You'll Need:
Master's degree in counseling, social work or related disciplines Previous clinical experience LCSW, LMHC or LCAC Preferred Clinical licensure in Indiana; both IN and IL licensure preferred.Company Perks:
