A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.

•$2000 HIRING BONUS

•The Seeking Safety program is a Family First Program that assists families with staying in their own communities while receiving substance use services. This is a prevention program to keep children with their parents. The program combines in-home and traditional methods of services using the Seeking Safety Curriculum to help the person who is using substances. The program also helps the family look at the impact of use within their family. Counselors are required to have an addiction license. Applicants with a current master level mental health license from BSRB will be considered if willing to obtain LMAC or LCAC. Saint Francis offers extensive training to new hires include training on the Seeking Safety Curriculum training is available. The counselor will be part of a team that provides services and will need the skills to work independently. Positions available in Wichita but some travel may be required to other service areas as needed. Will accept
