Overview Phillips Counseling Services, LLC is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and organized Sober Living Program Director to oversee the daily operations of our sober living program in Corbin, Kentucky. This position is responsible for resident intakes, admissions, orientations, behavioral concerns, client care coordination, documentation, safety, and general program operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in substance use recovery, sober living, behavioral health, peer support, or community-based services. This person must be able to establish appropriate boundaries, hold residents accountable, respond professionally to behavioral concerns, and maintain a safe and recovery-focused living environment. Duties Complete resident screenings, intakes, admissions, orientations, and discharges. Explain program rules, resident rights, expectations, fees, schedules, and available services. Oversee the daily operations of the sober living homes. Address behavioral concerns, conflicts, rule violations, and resident grievances professionally and consistently. Document incidents and notify company leadership of serious behavioral, safety, legal, or clinical concerns. Coordinate resident access to treatment, peer support, case management, medical appointments, transportation, employment, recovery meetings, and community resources. Communicate with residents, staff, counselors, referral sources, probation or parole personnel when authorized, and community providers. Maintain accurate resident records, emergency contacts, occupancy records, incident reports, and other required documentation. Monitor the homes for cleanliness, maintenance concerns, safety hazards, medication-storage compliance, and adherence to program rules. Assist with emergency preparedness, overdose-response readiness, safety drills, and incident response. Support residents in developing accountability, independence, recovery skills, and healthy daily routines. Help coordinate house schedules, transportation needs, chores, appointments, curfews, and recovery-related activities. Protect resident confidentiality and maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Help ensure the sober living program follows company policies and applicable recovery-housing standards. Provide company leadership with regular updates regarding admissions, occupancy, incidents, resident concerns, documentation, and operational needs. Requirements Current CPSS credential, CSA qualification, CADC, or a certified license or certification. Experience working in sober living, recovery housing, substance use recovery, behavioral health, peer support, case management, or a related setting. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to address behavioral concerns and enforce program rules respectfully and consistently. Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries. Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions during conflicts, incidents, or emergencies. Comfortable using email, electronic records, Microsoft Word, and other standard office technology. Ability to work effectively with residents, staff, treatment providers, referral sources, and community partners. Previous leadership or supervisory experience in recovery housing or behavioral health is preferred. This is an operational and recovery-support position. It does not authorize the employee to independently provide counseling, diagnose conditions, conduct clinical assessments, or develop clinical treatment plans unless the employee holds a separate credential authorizing those services and is specifically assigned those responsibilities.
