Provide direct support through individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, behavior management, and addiction counseling. Utilize crisis intervention skills to manage acute situations effectively while ensuring client safety and stability. Implement telehealth therapy services using HIPAA-compliant platforms to extend access to care across diverse settings. Maintain detailed clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, medical records, and case management reports in compliance with clinical documentation standards and legal requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including medical professionals, educators, and social service agencies—to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and art or dance therapy. Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical terminology, and medical documentation standards. Experience working with children and youth populations in outpatient or inpatient settings; familiarity with special education and pediatric care is preferred. Skilled in crisis management, crisis intervention strategies, behavior management techniques, and trauma-informed care approaches. Ability to conduct mental health assessments for individuals with co-occurring disorders or autism spectrum disorder; experience with PTSD care is highly valued. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems for accurate data collection and documentation; telehealth experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
