Job Description
Interested in joining our team and helping to serve Acadiana with quality compassionate care? We are looking for a Professional Counselor in our Crowley Behavioral Health Clinic with experience in providing behavioral health assessments, interventions, and counseling to individuals and their families. In this role as a Professional Counselor, you will serve as the primary counselor to individuals with acute and chronic mental illness, substance-use disorder, and co-occurring disorders. Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) plus two years of licensed counseling experience. Job Duties:
In this role as a Professional Counselor, you will: Serve as the primary counselor to individuals with acute and chronic mental illness, substance-use disorder, and co-occurring disorders. Provide behavioral health assessments, working closely with other staff members to provide ongoing assessment and treatment planning for clients of the clinic and making referrals to other resources as needed. Documents and updates client information and treatment plans in an EHR (Electronic Health Record) System as needed. Coordinating admissions, discharges and follow-up services within various programs and with other team members to ensure the client receives quality treatment. Works in accordance with the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of all applicable licensing/governmental agencies, accreditation bodies, and within the guidelines set by the Acadiana Area Human Services District.
