In this vital role, you will provide evidence-based therapeutic services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and families. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-specific interventions, play therapy, art therapy, and motivational interviewing. Implement behavioral health strategies including applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, conflict management, and crisis intervention to support clients with developmental disabilities or trauma histories. Collect and maintain accurate medical documentation and clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, facilitate intake processes, and ensure continuity of care. Engage with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds to provide culturally competent counseling that respects individual values and beliefs. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling, evidence-based treatments, and clinical ethical standards. Skills Proven experience working with children and youth in mental health or community care settings. Strong knowledge of mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluation, and case management techniques. Expertise in various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), art therapy, play therapy, trauma-specific interventions, and addiction counseling. Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, and medical records management. Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health conditions or developmental disabilities across diverse cultural backgrounds. Excellent client communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care.
