The ideal candidate will have experience in substance abuse counseling and crisis intervention. This role involves working with adults across different age groups and backgrounds within the outpatient settings. The Counselor will play a vital role in assessment, treatment planning, and case management to promote mental well-being and recovery. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, such as a pre-admission screen, biopsychosocial, and monitor SASSI self-reports. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions tailored to client needs. Manage crisis situations through crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety. Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation in compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 regulations while utilizing appropriate documentation procedures. Collaborate with healthcare teams on outpatient basis for case management and patient care coordination. Participate in telehealth sessions when applicable, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism. Stay informed about current best practices in the addiction field. Qualifications Licensure or certification relevant to counseling including CIT, RAC, CAC, PLPC, LPC, CSW, LMSW, or LCSW Proven experience in addiction counseling preferred, but not required Strong crisis management skills with the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Experience with telehealth platforms is advantageous. Ability to work compassionately with diverse populations. Excellent communication skills combined with a professional demeanor focused on patient-centered care.
