Job Description

Job Type Full-time (40 hrs.) & Part-time (25 hrs.) are available Salary Negotiable depending on experience Qualifications Master's and/or Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or sociology. At least 1-2 years experience in a mental health setting. As evidenced by previous work experience, academic background, and in-service or other training, the MHP shall demonstrate a working knowledge of: the normal processes of child and adolescent development; dysfunctional families and family systems counseling; mental and nervous conditions of childhood, adolescence, and adulthood: and community resources Ability to pass a criminal background check. Maintain a current driver's license and maintain current insurance. Job Environment The Mental Health Professional/ Specialist will generally perform the job duties in a community environment. Telehealth services may be provided as advised by the Louisiana Department of Health. Responsibilities Conduct direct, face to face or telehealth, quality counseling and support services. Services are to be delivered with dignity and respect for the client and community to improve the client's overall mental health, and generate increased community wellness. Conduct psycho-educational, supportive crisis counseling, Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) and Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST) in the residence or community. Observe and monitor clients' medication compliance. MHP/S must maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation (i.e progress notes, etc..) that adhere to best practices and are congruent with quality standard of care as outlined in the treatment plan. Provide on-call crisis management specific duties including, but not limited to, crisis planning, crisis intervention, and support. Provide coordination and linkage with community agencies through referrals and other case management services for clients and families. Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, privacy, and security. Uphold and promote all standards of CARF, HIPAA, reimbursable compliance, and New Beginnings Behavioral and Family Services, LLC policies and procedures as outlined in agency's policy manual.
