Job Overview We Care Health Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Outpatient Behavioral Health Director with a proven background in running, managing, and overseeing an outpatient behavioral health program or behavioral health organization . This position requires a leader with hands-on experience managing behavioral health operations, clinical services, administrative processes, staff supervision, compliance requirements, credentialing activities, referral development, and program growth. The ideal candidate will understand the day-to-day responsibilities involved in operating a successful outpatient behavioral health program and will work closely with ownership and leadership to ensure quality care, efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and continued expansion of behavioral health services. The Director will oversee, manage, and support all behavioral health programs and services provided by We Care Health Group, LLC , ensuring quality service delivery, compliance with applicable regulations, operational efficiency, and continued program development. The Director will provide clinical and operational leadership and, when needed, provide direct behavioral health services within their scope of practice, licensure, and credentialing requirements to support client care and program operations. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily operations of the outpatient behavioral health program. Provide leadership, supervision, and support to clinical and administrative staff. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management. Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, procedures, and workflows. Ensure compliance with Louisiana behavioral health licensing requirements, Medicaid regulations, HIPAA standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies. Oversee the quality and effectiveness of all behavioral health services provided by the organization. Provide clinical leadership, consultation, and support to behavioral health staff. Provide direct behavioral health services when needed within scope of practice and credentialing requirements. Monitor documentation quality, productivity, utilization, quality assurance, and program performance. Ensure compliance with treatment plans, progress notes, EHR/EMR documentation standards, and clinical record requirements. Oversee provider credentialing, recredentialing, payer enrollment, and insurance participation requirements. Assist with Medicaid enrollment, managed care organization (MCO) requirements, and maintaining payer compliance. Maintain readiness for licensing reviews, audits, inspections, facility reviews, and accreditation surveys. Assist with policy updates, corrective action plans, license renewals, and regulatory requirements. Support CARF accreditation preparation and ongoing compliance efforts, when applicable. Develop and maintain referral relationships with courts, probation and parole officers, attorneys, hospitals, physicians, schools, community organizations, and other referral sources. Identify opportunities to expand services, increase referrals, improve program utilization, and support business growth. Participate in community outreach, networking, and professional relationship development. Collaborate with ownership and leadership on strategic planning, program development, and service expansion.

Qualifications Required:

Demonstrated experience running, managing, directing, or overseeing an outpatient behavioral health program or behavioral health organization. Current Louisiana behavioral health license required: LPC, LCSW, LAC, LMFT, LMSW, or other qualified behavioral health license. Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Experience managing behavioral health operations, clinical services, administrative functions, and multidisciplinary teams. Experience supervising behavioral health professionals and support staff. Experience with behavioral health program development, expansion, and growth strategies. Experience with provider credentialing, payer enrollment, recredentialing, and insurance requirements. Knowledge of Louisiana behavioral health regulations, Medicaid requirements, documentation standards, and reimbursement processes. Experience developing and maintaining referral relationships with courts, probation and parole officers, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations. Experience with behavioral health licensing requirements, regulatory reviews, audits, and compliance activities. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/EMR). Preferred Experience Experience with CPST, PSR, IOP, outpatient therapy, and other behavioral health service lines. Experience with CARF accreditation standards, survey preparation, and continuous quality improvement. Experience with facility reviews, licensing renewals, corrective action plans, and regulatory compliance. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Knowledge of evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention. Experience with clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and care coordination. Experience developing referral networks and expanding behavioral health programs.
