Job Description
Job Overview The PLPC (Professional Licensed Professional Counselor) plays a vital role in providing mental health support and guidance to clients. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic sessions. The PLPC will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. Duties Conduct initial assessments to determine client needs and establish rapport. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients. Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring client safety and well-being. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling. Skills Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and collaboration. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques relevant to mental health counseling. Knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal requirements related to counseling practice. Empathy, patience, and resilience when working with diverse populations facing various challenges.
