This position oversees program quality, regulatory compliance, staff development, family engagement, fiscal stewardship, and cross-system collaboration. The Senior Director ensures services are person-centered, family-driven, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and aligned with organizational mission, funder requirements, and Massachusetts service standards. As an independently licensed clinician, the Senior Director provides clinical consultation, supervision, risk assessment, and guidance to support safe, ethical, and effective service delivery.

Minimum Qualifications :

Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services or related field. Independent clinical license require 5-7 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, families, and/or community-based human services programs. 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience including program management, staff supervisions, quality assurance, and contract oversight Current independent clinical license in Massachusetts required, such as LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or other applicable independent clinical license in good standing. License must remain active throughout employment. Valid driver's license, safe driving record, personal vehicle, and current motor vehicle liability insurance required Ability to successfully pass required criminal background checks

Job Responsibilities :

• Responsibilities are based on the needs, goals, and preferences of individuals and families and may vary accordingly
• Provide senior-level leadership and oversight for Family Supports programs, ensuring high-quality, person-centered, and family-directed services.

Ensure services support families caring for children and adults with disabilities living at home through information, assistance, service navigation, flexible supports, and community-based resources. Provide clinical consultation and supervision related to assessment, service planning, crisis response, risk mitigation, professional boundaries, mandated reporting, and complex family or behavioral health needs. Oversee program compliance with applicable state, contractual, accreditation, licensing, privacy, and organizational requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor program policies, procedures, workflows, service documentation standards, and quality assurance processes. Supervise, coach, and evaluate program leadership and direct service staff; support hiring, onboarding, training, retention, and performance improvement. Monitor program budgets, utilization, service authorizations, staffing patterns, and contract deliverables in collaboration with finance and executive leadership. Use data, family feedback, incident trends, and quality indicators to guide program planning, continuous improvement, and strategic growth. Participate as a member of senior leadership and contribute to organizational planning, workforce development, risk management, and mission-driven service expansion. Work collaboratively with the Director to manage the daily operation of The Arc's Family Support Program to ensure delivery of quality services and support to individuals and their families, as well as good fiscal practices and procedures. Provide crisis prevention and intervention for families. Work regularly with DDS Admin Team for purposes of giving updates on Family Support Services. Work with Human Resources regarding staff recruitment, processing, and retention to best meet the needs of Family Support Services. Collaborate with the Family Advisory Council in implementing annual goals. Work with The Arc's leadership team by attending monthly meetings and providing updates within Family Support.
