Healthcare Professionals accepted) Mental Health Counselor/Therapist - A Community Mental health Center providing outstanding, affordable and culturally responsive mental health care and social services and meets the evolving mental health needs of children, families and adults throughout Greater Boston and is widely-recognized as a leader in mental health training and our innovative treatment models have been adopted by clinical providers and schools across the state and nationally is seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker or Ph.D. to join a caring team of providers. The mental health clinician will split time between the mental health center and the school. The independently licensed mental health clinician will provide evaluations and individual therapy to clients at a private, nonprofit co-educational day school that provides a specialized educational and clinical program for students who face a variety of learning, behavioral, and|or emotional challenges. The school serves over 100 students ranging from 8-year-olds to high school seniors. This includes providing school-based child evaluations and psychotherapy to students. Maintain caseload of 15 child clients made up of elementary, middle, and high school students. Attend meetings, including IEPs and weekly school case consults, providing staff with therapeutic input. Provide consultation to teachers and other therapeutic school staff The clinician will also provide individual and family psychotherapy to clients at the mental health center. This includes providing intake and diagnostic assessments for new clients. Developing treatment plans in accordance with regulations and agency policy. Providing individual, group, and|or couples and family counseling. Collaborating with collateral contacts and other providers. Completing documentation as required in a timely manner. Providing clinical supervision for junior clinicians. Participating in teams, committees, and|or task forces as appropriate.
