Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Clinician to join our healthcare team, committed to providing exceptional mental health and behavioral support across diverse populations. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive patient-centered care through a variety of therapeutic modalities, including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and behavioral therapy. Your expertise will help individuals and families navigate mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, and substance use issues. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis, and psychopharmacology when appropriate. Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention sessions to address mental health concerns, trauma (including PTSD), grief, addiction, gender issues, and developmental disabilities. Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services effectively while maintaining HIPAA compliance and secure medical documentation. Manage case coordination by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans, progress monitoring, and data collection for clinical research purposes. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions in accordance with healthcare regulations. Engage in ongoing professional development through research participation and staying current with ICD coding updates and behavioral health advancements. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and crisis management. Proficiency in motivational interviewing to foster patient engagement and facilitate behavior change. Strong background in child & family counseling, working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or special education needs. Knowledge of hospital-based inpatient/outpatient settings along with clinic experience in outpatient mental health services. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical records management. Skilled in crisis intervention strategies for acute mental health episodes or trauma-related situations. Ability to work with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with disabilities or chronic pain conditions. Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Competence in social work principles combined with clinical counseling expertise to support holistic patient care. Strong communication skills for conducting intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and patient education on mental health topics.
