Job Description
Sacred Hearts Parish is a vibrant, two church Parish. The Parish includes a 500-student Preschool to Grade 8 Catholic Elementary School. We are looking to hire a knowledgeable, engaged and dynamic part-time IT Support Specialist to support the school (80-90%) and parish (10-20%).
Position Summary and Responsibilities:
The Technology Support team member is responsible for all hardware, software and applications used at Sacred Hearts School and Sacred Hearts Parish. Projects and requests may be derived from our two school buildings, our two churches, the rectory or the food pantry.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, configure and purchase staff computers ensuring functionality, optimal utilization and compliance with security requirements.
- Configure and maintain server based and cloud-based computer systems and associated content.
- Function as Super Admin for our Google interface.
- Manage on-line curriculum and student information portal for Assistant Principals and Teachers.
- Own GoGuardian use, surveillance and training.
- Own Chromebook and iPad configuration, optimal use and maintenance.
- Manage and maintain internet hardware, staff laptop computers, desk phone, projectors, copiers, printers, SmartBoards and security camera technologies and ensure security compliance of these elements.
- Train staff members on the use of all hardware and applications used on campus.
- Provide troubleshooting of hardware and applications for all staff members on campus.
- Own domain management and optimization.
- Own all supplier relationships for the hardware and applications described above, in coordination with Head of School and Finance/Operations Manager.
- Own our AI strategy - policy, use and surveillance.
- Support development of the Makers Space.
- Develop technology classes to support the learning of students in Grades 5 - 8.
