Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addiction Counselor to join our team. We provide outpatient mental health and addictions treatment on the Eastern Shore of Maryland from (4) locations. This position will be based in our Berlin and Salisbury offices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral health and addiction treatment, with the ability to provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, managing a caseload of individual clients and facilitating group therapy sessions to promote recovery and well-being. We offer flexible scheduling and a hybrid schedule that will allow a portion of the work to be done remotely. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide counseling services to individuals dealing with addiction issues. Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for clients to share experiences and strategies for recovery. Support clients in crisis management situations, providing immediate intervention and resources as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including referrals for additional services when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and any relevant research findings in accordance with coding standards. Stay informed about the latest developments in addiction medicine and behavioral health practices to enhance service delivery.
