A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.
TLC, The Treatment and Learning Centers, is seeking licensed mental health clinicians to join our interdisciplinary outpatient team in Rockville, Maryland. Each year, TLC's programs serve more than 2,000 neurodiverse individuals with a wide range of special needs. We use a holistic and strengths-based approach that considers needs in the home, at work or school, and in the community, working across disciplines to address the needs of the whole person. Current Maryland license or permit in one of the following disciplines: LCSW-C LCPC or LGPC Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Commitment to collaborative, client-centered care

Experience working with children and families Experience or interest in working with neurodiverse individuals Experience with play therapy, child-centered approaches, CBT, ACT, DBT-informed interventions, or family therapy Experience facilitating social skills groups or therapeutic groups Interest in collaborating across disciplines and supporting individuals in multiple environments
