Job Description

Position Overview Innovative Therapeutic Services (ITS) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Therapeutic Mentor / Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Coordinator to provide behavioral health support services to children and adolescents in partnership with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). This position provides individualized mentoring, skill-building support, and PRP services to help youth develop emotional regulation, social skills, coping strategies, and progress toward their treatment goals. The ideal candidate enjoys working with youth, families, and community partners while supporting positive mental health outcomes. Responsibilities Provide therapeutic mentoring and PRP services to assigned youth caseload. Support clients in developing social, emotional, behavioral, and independent living skills. Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and required documentation. Facilitate individual and group skill-building sessions focused on client goals. Collaborate with families, therapists, schools, and community resources. Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to program requirements. Participate in supervision, staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or related field. Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children and/or adolescents with mental health or behavioral health needs. Experience in therapeutic mentoring, PRP, case management, behavioral health, or community-based services preferred. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with a treatment team. Requirements Must successfully complete federal and state background checks. Must maintain professional liability insurance.
