- This position is responsible for the direct provision or coordination of assessment and treatment of assigned clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide evidence-based practices for individual, group, family, and/or couple therapy- which includes, at a minimum, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and good computer skills Ability to be flexible in work hours to meet client needs Ability to manage time efficiently, possess self-confidence, and maintain a positive behavior in a manner so that you get along with clients and co-workers Ability to facilitate client and family groups Comprehensive understanding of Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment modalities.COMPETENCIES

Either a Limited Master of Social Work (LLMSW) license, a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), or a Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP) by the State of Michigan required- as determined by program requirements.
EXPERIENCE
Previous mental health and/or substance abuse assessment and treatment experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Possible exposure to patients/clients with illnesses and/or infections. Frequent telephone and computer use, requiring manual dexterity for writing and computer use. Sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. May require bending, squatting, or kneeling and lifting up to 50 pounds. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.CLIENT POPULATION SERVED
