Montcalm Care Network is seeking a master level clinician with experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or intellectual developmental disabilities and their families. A Family Skills Training Specialist provides parenting skills training on a group and individual basis. Skills training focuses on evidenced based parenting strategies, teach parents emotion regulation skills, and developing positive support plans to address child behaviors. Services may be provided in a home or community setting. Experience in evidence-based practices such as Trauma Informed Parenting or Parenting Through Change a plus.

Student Loan Repayment :

MCN is an approved National Health Service site (NHSC, a loan repayment program); in addition to Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF), and MDHHS Behavioral Health Loan Repayment Program (BHLRP). Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 annually

Employment Qualifications:

Education:

Possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.

Experience:

One year of professional experience in a mental health agency with experience working with the children's population or other mental health population.

Other Requirements:

Licensure or limited licensure as a Social Worker, Psychologist, or Counselor in the State of Michigan and must be a qualified Children Mental Health Professional or supervised by individual with this credential. Possession of a valid State of Michigan driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a chauffeur's license within 30 days of hire.
