New Freedom, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) to join our supportive adult substance use disorder treatment program on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to transition to full-time in the future if interested. Our small, close-knit program serves up to 23 clients, allowing counselors to truly know the individuals they serve and make a meaningful impact. We are looking for someone who values person-centered care, teamwork, professional autonomy, and helping people create lasting change in their lives. The LADC will provide trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment within our Minnesota 245G-licensed program, with primary responsibilities including individual and group counseling, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and coordination of care.

Responsibilities Include:

Provide individual and group substance use disorder counseling Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans using a strengths-based, person-centered approach Provide evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions consistent with Minnesota 245G requirements Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as clinically appropriate Coordinate with community providers and other professionals to support continuity of care Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with 245G, HIPAA, billing, and organizational requirements Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, treatment team meetings, and quality-improvement activities Maintain positive professional relationships and appropriate boundaries with clients and colleagues Contribute to a respectful, supportive, and recovery-focused treatment environment

Required Qualifications:

Current Minnesota Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) license Meets applicable Minnesota 245G counselor qualification and supervision requirements Experience providing substance use disorder and/or behavioral health treatment Knowledge of 245G clinical documentation and service-delivery requirements Strong counseling, documentation, organization, and communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Commitment to ethical, person-centered, and trauma-informed care Why Join New Freedom?
