A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.

Missouri Ozarks Community Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dedicated behavioral health team. This position will serve patients based within a public school setting AND a Clinical Setting at our Ava Clinic location. The
LCSW/LMSW/LPC
is a mental health provider with specialized training who works as a member of the Primary Care team. This team approach allows us to address the interaction of physical, behavioral and emotional/mental aspects of care. This position is full time employment in the clinical and school setting with competitive salary and attractive benefit package provided. This position will offer comprehensive behavioral health services through traditional therapy in a clinical setting and in a school setting with children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group environments. The provider will be responsible for: Counsel children, adolescents, and adults through individual and group therapy sessions. Conduct initial and follow-up assessments to evaluate patient needs and progress. Develop and implement individualized treatment and action plans. Advocate for patients and families to support positive health and wellness outcomes. Assist patients in accessing needed healthcare and community resources. Provide crisis intervention services as needed. Collaborate with patients, families, and care teams to support treatment goals. Help individuals improve quality of life through guidance, counseling, and emotional support.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution. Current state licensure as an LCSW, LMSW, or LPC . Working knowledge of the DSM-5. Strong knowledge of behavioral health practices and therapeutic techniques. Experience working with children and adolescents preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills when working with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members. Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation. Willingness and ability to travel to local sites as needed. Ability to clearly and concisely document sessions and familiarity with healthcare regulations. Experience in school-based or integrated behavioral health settings preferred.
