Summary The Clinical Therapist at Stonewater Adolescent Recovery Center provides individual and group therapy for adolescents experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. This role works collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support each resident's recovery. Clinical Care and Resident Support Meet with residents upon admission to support orientation, assess clinical needs, and complete required assessments and evaluations. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on each resident's needs and treatment goals. Provide individual therapy to assigned residents on a weekly basis. Plan and facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups in accordance with program requirements. Utilize evidence-based approaches, including DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing, as appropriate. Build healthy therapeutic relationships with residents while maintaining strong professional boundaries. Monitor resident progress and adjust clinical interventions and treatment goals as appropriate. Plan for discharge and coordinate recovery support services to promote continuity of care. Operations and Team Support Provide clinical guidance and support to Direct Care Staff regarding resident needs, behaviors, and treatment interventions. Help promote consistent therapeutic approaches throughout the residential environment. Provide training to staff, parents, and volunteers on mental health, substance use disorders, and treatment best practices as directed. Support staff development in DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and other approved clinical approaches. Safety, Compliance, and Collaboration Respond appropriately to resident crises, safety concerns, and changes in clinical presentation. Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to support resident care, treatment planning, and continuity of care. Provide clinical support during urgent resident situations, including after-hours onsite support when necessary. Maintain resident confidentiality and professional standards at all times. Adhere to The Joint Commission and state/federal regulatory standards. Documentation and Program Support Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation. Complete required treatment plans, progress notes, assessments, discharge documentation, and other clinical records. Participate in discharge planning and coordination of recovery support services. Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education. Additional Expectations Demonstrate flexibility in responding to the changing needs of residents and the program. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Participate in team-building activities and organizational initiatives. Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times. Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Mississippi licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC. Clinicians licensed in another state must obtain appropriate Mississippi licensure prior to providing clinical services. Ability and experience providing therapy to adolescents. Experience treating mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred. Experience with DBT and CBT preferred; training will be provided onsite. Experience with Motivational Interviewing preferred. Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Additional Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation and proof of current auto insurance. Ability to pass required background screening, fingerprinting, child abuse clearance, and health/TB screening. Ability to work effectively with residents, families, staff, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including varying faith perspectives.
