Overview At Green Apple Behavioral Health (GABH), the Clinical Supervisor - Mental Health is an independently licensed clinician who provides clinical supervision, mentorship, and oversight to mental health counselor candidates, interns, and trainees while maintaining a direct client caseload. This role includes LCPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LMHCs, and other independently licensed professionals who are approved to provide clinical supervision. The Clinical Supervisor functions one step below the Mental Health Clinical Director, supporting the Director in ensuring high-quality, evidence-based clinical care and the professional development of pre-licensure staff. This position carries delegated supervisory responsibility for day-to-day clinical guidance but does not hold the full program-leadership, human-resources, and administrative authority of the Clinical Director. The Clinical Supervisor keeps the Clinical Director informed of supervisee progress, clinical concerns, and quality matters. Key Responsibilities Clinical Supervision & Mentorship  Provide individual and group clinical supervision to mental health counselor candidates (PCLCs, SWLCs, LMFT Candidates), interns, and trainees in accordance with Montana Board of Behavioral Health requirements.  Accurately document supervision hours and maintain records required to support supervisees' progress toward independent licensure.  Review and, where required by licensure rules, co-sign clinical documentation, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans completed by supervisees.  Provide guidance on case conceptualization, evidence-based interventions, ethics, boundaries, and crisis management.  Monitor supervisees' caseloads, clinical judgment, and adherence to policy; escalate significant concerns to the Clinical Director.  Support the onboarding and clinical orientation of new candidates and interns. Clinical Oversight & Quality  Assist the Clinical Director in monitoring clinical quality, documentation compliance, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.  Provide input into the formal performance evaluations of candidates and interns, which are conducted by the Clinical Director every six months.  Help ensure supervisees maintain weekly schedules that include appointments, staffings, supervision, and note writing. Direct Client Services  Maintain a direct caseload providing individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities.  Conduct clinical evaluations and assessments; utilize the current DSM to make diagnoses and treatment recommendations.  Develop and update treatment plans based on client needs and regulatory requirements.  Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization for clients experiencing acute psychological distress, exercising independent clinical judgment in high-risk situations.  Demonstrate multicultural counseling skills and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds. Consultation & Collaboration  Provide subject-matter consultation to colleagues, interns, and trainees within areas of clinical competence.  Collaborate with case managers, peer support specialists, psychiatric providers, and other team members.  Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and community partners. Documentation & Note Keeping  Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely clinical and supervisory documentation (date, time, place, modality, etc.).  Ensure compliance with GABH policies, ethical standards, and payer requirements.  Protect client and supervisee confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and state regulations. Teamwork & Professional Development  Work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team environment.  Participate in staff meetings, case consultations, and trainings.  Stay updated on new treatments, protocols, supervision standards, and licensure requirements.  Maintain continuing education, including supervision-related training as required. Reporting  Report directly to the Mental Health Clinical Director and maintain open communication regarding supervisee progress, clinical concerns, and quality matters. Billing Expectations 

Full-Time:

[26] billable hours per week (reduced from the standard counselor expectation to allow time for supervisory duties). Qualifications Education  Master's Degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field. Licensure  Active Montana license permitting independent practice: LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or similar independent mental health license.  Licensure must permit the provider to function independently and without supervision.  Must meet Montana Board of Behavioral Health requirements to serve as an approved clinical supervisor. Supervision Training  20 hours of supervision training as required by the Montana Board of Behavioral Health. Experience  Minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure clinical experience.  Previous experience supervising or mentoring clinicians is preferred. Professional Standing  No more than one (1) open malpractice claim.  No open licensing board complaints; no probated or restricted licensure. Appointment Flexibility  Must be willing to conduct both phone and video appointments as needed. Core Competencies 

Work Environment  Work is performed in a mental health center environment.  May involve interaction with individuals experiencing mental health crises, trauma, or addiction.  Requires sitting for extended periods and occasional lifting of office supplies or materials.  Expected to uphold the culture and values of Green Apple Behavioral Health.

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
