Outpatient Job Description:

We are looking for a Therapist who will be providing counseling, therapy, and support to individuals, groups, and families, helping them address and manage their mental health concerns. The goal is to improve clients' well-being and help them lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy Plan outreach and referral activities in surrounding communities Plan and conduct programs to prevent substance abuse or improve community health and counseling services Assess clients; mental condition based on review of client information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations Develop and implement treatment plans based on DA, clinical experience and knowledge Conduct initial family assessments and refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution Valid North Carolina License as one of the following: Licensed Social Worker (LSW) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing diagnostic assessments and therapy services Demonstrated experience working with a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood Proficiency in conducting comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments (DA), developing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy
