As a Certified Recovery Specialist, you will serve as a beacon of hope, fostering resilience and motivating positive change in those facing addiction and mental health challenges. Responsibilities Engage with clients to build trusting relationships, offering mentorship and motivational interviewing to support recovery goals. Provide crisis intervention and crisis management during urgent situations, ensuring safety and stability for clients. Assist clients in navigating behavioral health and addiction counseling resources, guiding them through treatment plans and recovery strategies. Document client interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized recovery plans that address mental health, social needs, and behavioral challenges. Offer social work support by connecting clients with community resources, housing, employment, and other essential services. Mentor clients through behavioral health challenges, encouraging self-efficacy and resilience during their recovery journey. Skills Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Expertise in crisis management techniques tailored to behavioral health and addiction scenarios. Knowledge of behavioral health principles, mental health counseling practices, and addiction counseling methods. Proficiency in motivational interviewing to foster client engagement and promote positive change. Experience working within social work frameworks to support holistic client well-being. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation of client interactions. Excellent mentoring abilities combined with compassionate communication skills to motivate clients toward recovery success.
