Monadnock Family Services Description:
Reporting to the Director of Acute Care Services and Mobile Crisis, the Mobile Crisis Clinician will provide mobile outreach to those in the community who are in psychiatric crisis. Services will be provided in a secure setting and via telehealth. The purpose of this program is to intervene as soon as possible to stabilize the crisis to avoid psychiatric hospitalization. There will be strong partnership with police, first responders, schools, and other community partners.
THIS SPECIFIC POSITION IS AN AWAKE OVERNIGHT POSITION.

Responsibilities:
  • The clinician's main duty is to rapidly and accurately evaluate complex behavioral health situations, develop, recommend and support clinically appropriate crisis interventions to be implemented with individual clients, their families, and a wide variety of community helpers.;
  • Rapid response to crisis intervention requests.
  • Consult, triage, or actively participate in facilitating appropriate voluntary inpatient admissions, involuntary emergency admissions, and conditional discharge revocation paperwork.;
  • Be available to testify in IEA and CD Revocation Hearings as necessary. These hearings may happen during non-scheduled daytime hours.;
  • Provide crisis stabilization follow up as necessary.;
  • Responsible for making dispositions that are appropriate, are clinically sound and ensure the safety and well-being of the client.;
  • Referrals will be made to MFS Outpatient and Community Support Programs where indicated and to other agencies as necessary to provide optimum clinical care.;;
  • Responsible for providing Preventive and Supportive interventions when such intervention might prevent a situation of a more serious clinical nature.;
  • At times will need to work collaboratively with other MFS teams involved in client care.;;;
  • Utilize Crisis Prevention Plans and Client Alerts to maintain clinical focus for those clients already receiving services.;
  • Provide provisional treatment planning for those clients entering the MFS system via our Mobile Crisis interventions.;;
  • Participate in regional informational and educational services and programs as requested by the Director of Acute Care Services and Mobile Crisis.;;
  • Compliance with all MFS policies regarding Required Consultation.
  • Debriefing and consultation for every after hours evaluation.
  • Notification to Treatment Team and external providers, as needed, for the purpose of maintaining the continuum of care.
  • Provide support and interventions for client's natural supports as indicated.;;
  • Participates in all meetings as necessary to the performance of the duties of a Mobile Crisis Clinician;
  • Completes work within the designated time frames
  • Maintains awareness of and adherence to MFS Policies
  • Attends all supervisory sessions as scheduled
  • Attends all required trainings
  • Demonstrates a standard of professional behavior that enhances the mission of MFS
  • Adheres to confidentiality and HIPAA standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to the goals of the Acute Care Services and Mobile Crisis Team and MFS.;;
  • Performs other duties related to the role of an Emergency Services Clinician as assigned by the Director of Acute Care Services and Mobile Crisis.
  • In the event of a natural disaster or catastrophic event, the Mobile Crisis Clinician may be called upon to be part of a Disaster Response effort that would include the provision of Crisis response and counseling.

Requirements:
;;Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related clinical field from an accredited college or university plus two years relevant experience.
