Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in counseling working with special needs youths/children, with experience in-home counseling, play therapy, crisis intervention, and behavioral health strategies. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will deliver evidence-based therapies, conduct mental health assessments as needed, and develop individualized treatment plans with our professional team to support children, youth, and their families in achieving optimal mental wellness. Responsibilities Provide individualized in-home counseling sessions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, direct, train in ADL skills. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, Care Managers, and professionals staff to coordinate care. Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices in mental health counseling. Qualifications Bachelor's degree, Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution; experience is a plus Licensed/None license Clinician with experience Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential required, etc. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families facing developmental disabilities or co-occurring disorders. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively across diverse populations.
