Job Description
Director Behavioral Sciences Position Summary The basic functions of this position are the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all aspects of the Behavioral Medicine program of the Family Medicine Residency. Primary Position Responsibilities 1.Development, implementation, and evaluation of a longitudinal Behavioral Medicine (including videotaping, and preventative programming identifying physician impairment and physician wellbeing) and Psychiatry curriculum. 2.Development, implementation, evaluation of Ethics curriculum appropriate for primary care. 3.Assist with the recruitment and selection of applicants to the residency program. 4.Develop and present Behavioral Medicine, Psychiatry, and Ethics conferences based on core topics in the curriculum; arrange for guest speakers to teach cited topics in curriculum requiring specific areas of expertise. Teach Behavioral Medicine curriculum (individual) longitudinal series as designated by resident year, rotation schedule, and curriculum committee. 5.Provide resources for remedial programming for individuals with special needs identified by faculty. 6.Along with the other faculty, to represent the program at local, state and national meetings of professional colleagues in order to incorporate new development into the residency program.
