A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.

The Licensed Group Counselor provides group psychotherapeutic services under the clinical supervision of an LCSW or LPC, in accordance with current standards of practice, as developed by professional and licensing organizations, and defined and interpreted by the supervisor. This role does not provide clinical hours and is not intended for one-to-one therapy supervision. •Hours are: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., one weekend day a pay period, some holidays, behavioral health experience preferred.
