This is a combined position forCOMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER & MOBILE CRISIS RESPONDER. COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER
- Under supervision, this position provides Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) for adults with significant behavioral health disorders and their families AND for children or adolescents experiencing Serious Emotional/Neurobiological/Behavioral Disorders and their families, to improve quality of life and maintain the highest possible ability to function independently within the community.MOBILE CRISIS RESPONDER
- This is a non-licensed para-professional position that provides mobile behavioral health crisis support within the area of responsibility of the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT). Responder is assigned an on-call schedule when they must be available 24/7. The mobile crisis responder provides immediate, on-site behavioral health crisis intervention and stabilization services for individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, and emotional distress crises in the community. This role involves responding to emergency calls, de-escalating crisis situations, assessing needs and providing referrals to appropriate services. The responder works in collaboration with licensed therapists, other MCRT team members, first responders and other community service providers to ensure individuals receive the necessary care and support. Employee must reside in the county where Mobile Crisis Response Team services are provided.REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required plus three years of experience working with the target population; or AA degree in a human service field plus two years of experience working with the target population; or a related Bachelor's degree plus one year relevant experience working with the target population.
- Severe Mental Illness (SMI);
- Chronic Substance Dependence; or
- Co-occurring disorder (mental illness/substance abuse) and/or dually diagnosed with a primary diagnosis of mental illness; AND The children's target population is defined as:
- Children or adolescents at risk of/or experiencing Serious Emotional/Neurobiological/Behavioral Disorders.
- Certification as a Peer or Family Specialist can substitute for one year of related work experience.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies, de-escalation techniques and basic mental health first aid preferred.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) or (English / Navajo) preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
:- Have or be able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire.
BLS / CPR / ACLS

COVERAGE AND ON-CALL REQUIREMENTS
- Must reside in the county where Mobile Crisis Response Team services are provided.
- Must be in compliance with the HR Policy on a Drug Free Workplace throughout the on-call period.
