Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Group Facilitator (Intensive Outpatient Program) to lead and support individuals on their journey to recovery and mental wellness. In this vital role, you will facilitate group therapy sessions, conduct comprehensive client assessments, and implement evidence-based practices to promote behavioral health and substance use disorder recovery. Duties Lead engaging group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavioral management techniques. Conduct thorough client assessments, including intake evaluations, diagnostic evaluations using DSM-5 criteria, and ongoing progress reviews. Implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs, including addiction counseling, mental health counseling, and co-occurring disorders management. Utilize clinical documentation standards to accurately record patient care activities in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, crisis intervention, and community care services ensuring comprehensive patient support. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols, ensuring safety and stability for clients. Collect data for research purposes, monitor treatment outcomes, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the program. Qualifications Proven experience in psychotherapy, group therapy, or clinical counseling within behavioral health or addiction medicine settings. Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques, behavioral therapy methods, and crisis management strategies. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, PTSD care, and diverse cultural backgrounds. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and clinical documentation standards in EMR/EHR systems. Ability to perform client assessments using diagnostic tools such as DSM-5 criteria; experience with intake processes is preferred. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; experience working with children & family counseling is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 23.0 per week
