We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and motivated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, provide individual and group counseling, support patients through challenges, and help them develop the skills they need to achieve their recovery goals. What You'll Do Conduct assessments and assist with developing individualized treatment plans. Provide individual counseling using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) . Facilitate engaging group counseling sessions focused on recovery, coping skills, behavioral health, and relapse prevention. Help patients develop healthy coping strategies, life skills, and tools to support long-term recovery. Collaborate with medical providers, mental health professionals, and community resources to support the patient's overall needs. Monitor patient progress and participate in treatment plan updates. Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation. Provide support and assistance during times of crisis, as appropriate. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field is preferred but not required. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders is highly valued. Knowledge of evidence-based counseling approaches and recovery-oriented practices is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach and genuine commitment to helping others.
