Integrated Counselor - Residential (Willow House) Full-Time (40 hours per week)

1355 Olean Portville Rd Weston Mills, NY 14788 The Integrated Counselor - Provisional QHP (Tier I) provides substance use disorder (SUD) counseling and support within CASA-Trinity's integrated care model, which combines substance use, mental health, and medical services to best support client recovery. At the bachelor's level, the counselor provides SUD treatment within the scope of a Provisional QHP, actively collaborating with licensed mental health professionals, medical providers, and peer staff to promote whole-person wellness. The Tier I counselor focuses on developing foundational counseling skills and progressing toward full CASAC credentialing. There is a shift differential with this program: Evening Shift (5:00 PM - 11:00 PM): +$1.00 per hour Overnight Shift (11:00 PM - 8:00 AM): +$2.00 per hour Essential Job Functions

• Conduct intake and ongoing assessments of clients' needs, motivations, and substance use histories; prepare bio-psychosocial evaluations to determine appropriate level of care.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling under supervision using evidence-based approaches that support recovery and relapse prevention.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect client strengths and needs.
• Collaborate with licensed mental health clinicians to ensure that co-occurring mental health needs are addressed through coordinated treatment planning.
• Participate in integrated team meetings and share SUD-related observations to support whole-person care.
• Document all services accurately in the electronic health record in compliance with NYS OASAS, OMH, and agency standards.
• Coordinate referrals for housing, employment, medical, and mental health services.
• Maintain productivity and engagement standards through effective caseload management.
• Participate in supervision and professional development activities to strengthen clinical competence. Secondary Functions
• Collaborate with external care providers and community resources to enhance client outcomes.
• Participate in performance improvement and staff training activities.
• Work toward full CASAC credentialing and advancement to Tier II or full QHP status.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Foundational knowledge of SUD treatment principles and recovery-oriented care.
• Awareness of mental health conditions and the importance of integrated, coordinated treatment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary staff and follow clinical guidance from licensed professionals.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Competency in using electronic health records and adhering to documentation standards.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a human services specialty), or related field.

Experience:

1-3 years in a health or human service agency, preferably in a substance use setting.

Certification:

Must hold Provisional QHP status under

NYS OASAS

regulations and actively work toward CASAC credential.

Licensure:

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
