As a Substance Use Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals facing substance use disorders, providing compassionate individual, group, and family therapy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize crisis intervention services, deliver informative psychoeducation presentations, and facilitate experiential learning groups. Alongside our experienced treatment team, you will assist in formulating the Master Treatment Plan and coordinating discharge planning. Responsibilities:
Maintain open communication with facility staff, attending clinicians, physicians, clients, and families Liaison with community agencies, vendors, and payers of health services Review assessments from referring facilities and note problems/issues that require further attention Gather comprehensive diagnostic information through psychosocial assessment interview Develop an Integrated Summary, bringing together information from all assessments to identify problem areas that may affect treatment and/or need to be addressed in treatment planning Develop a comprehensive problem list that reflects client's individual issues as described in the assessments and Integrated Summary Present psychosocial and diagnostic information to treatment team in a clear, concise manner
Requirements:
Master's degree in social work, psychology or related human services field Current license in the state of Ohio Minimum of one year of experience in addiction counseling Knowledge of ethics and professional standards Knowledge of evidence-based practices Understanding of substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality, and privacy practices
Experience:
Addiction counseling: 1 year (Preferred)
Schedule:
8 hour shift Weekends as needed Master's (Required)
