Job Description

Mental Health Counselor (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW) - Full-Time Cardinal Treatment Center (CTC) Join a team that's changing lives every day. Cardinal Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our growing behavioral health team. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services, develop individualized treatment plans, and empower clients to achieve lasting recovery and emotional well-being while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities  Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and evaluate clients' mental health and treatment needs.  Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and evidence-based practices.  Provide individual counseling and therapeutic interventions.  Monitor client progress, update treatment plans, and document services accurately and timely in accordance with state and federal regulations.  Maintain confidential client records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.  Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers, peer support specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.  Educate clients and families on mental health, substance use disorders, coping skills, relapse prevention, and recovery resources.  Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision as appropriate.  Stay current with best practices, clinical research, and continuing education requirements.
Qualifications Required:
 Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field (Master's degree preferred).  Current Ohio licensure in one of the following: o LPC o LPCC o LPCC-S o LSW o LISW o LISW-S  Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening abilities.  Ability to establish rapport and build trusting therapeutic relationships.  Commitment to ethical practice, professionalism, and client-centered care.
Preferred:
 Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health disorders and/or substance use disorders.  Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma- Informed Care, and relapse prevention strategies.
