Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) River Rocks Recovery is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) to join our behavioral health team. We provide treatment to adults with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. The QMHS will primarily facilitate structured mental health and therapeutic behavioral groups, support clients in meeting treatment goals, and work closely with the clinical team. Key Responsibilities Facilitate structured mental health and therapeutic behavioral groups. Provide psychoeducation and skill-building in areas such as coping skills, emotional regulation, stress management, communication, healthy relationships, relapse prevention, and life skills. Encourage client participation and support progress toward individualized treatment-plan goals. Observe and document client participation, progress, behaviors, interventions, and response to services. Complete group notes and required documentation accurately and on time. Communicate changes in client behavior, functioning, or mental health to the appropriate clinical team member. Assist with de-escalation and crisis intervention when appropriate. Collaborate with counselors, social workers, case managers, psychiatric providers, and other treatment-team members. Maintain professional boundaries, client confidentiality, and compliance with

HIPAA, 42 CFR

Part 2, and agency policies. Qualifications Candidates must meet applicable Ohio requirements to function as a Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) for the services provided. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Human Services, or a related field; OR At least 3 years of relevant behavioral health or mental health experience meeting applicable requirements. Experience facilitating behavioral health or mental health groups. Experience working with adults with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders. Experience with TBS/PSR or community behavioral health services is a plus. Experience completing documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR). Skills Strong group-facilitation and client-engagement skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Ability to manage challenging behaviors and use appropriate de-escalation techniques. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Pay:

$42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
