The counselor works collaboratively with medical and clinical staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans while helping patients achieve meaningful recovery goals. Qualifications Required Active Ohio behavioral health credential or license in good standing

CDCA-II, LCDC-II, LCDC

III, LICDC, LPC, LPCC, LISW, or equivalent Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health, trauma-related, and substance use disorders Ability to complete documentation accurately and timely Preferred Two or more years of behavioral health and/or substance use treatment experience Experience treating co-occurring disorders Familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches Experience in an outpatient behavioral healthcare setting Candidates working toward advanced licensure are encouraged to apply. What You'll Bring Compassion, empathy, and professionalism Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health interventions Understanding of addiction, relapse prevention, and recovery support strategies Commitment to patient-centered and harm reduction-focused care Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team Knowledge of community resources and referral networks Sound clinical judgment and decision-making abilities Essential Responsibilities Conduct behavioral health assessments Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals Provide one-on-one counseling services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically appropriate Develop relapse prevention and recovery support plans Collaborate with providers and other treatment team members regarding patient care Identify patients at risk for worsening behavioral health conditions and intervene appropriately Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services when necessary Support patients in developing self-management, wellness, and recovery skills Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with community providers and ancillary services Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Ensure treatment records are complete and up to date Meet productivity expectations established by the organization Participate in treatment team meetings and quality improvement initiatives Ensure all clinical decisions are made in the best interest of the patient
