Job Description
Mahajan Therapeutics seeks a Mental Health Therapist / Counselor to provide outpatient psychiatric and psychological care in community settings. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing person-centered treatment plans, delivering individual, group, and family therapy, coordinating care with psychiatrists and community providers, maintaining timely clinical documentation, and participating in case conferences. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments Develop and update individualized, person-centered treatment plans Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities Coordinate care with psychiatrists, primary care, schools, and community agencies Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and progress notes in the EHRPerform risk assessments and safety planning for clients in crisis Participate in clinical case conferences, supervision, and interdisciplinary team meetings Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust interventions based on client progress Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, coping skills, and resources Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards and organizational policies Required Skills Diagnostic assessment (DSM-5-TR) Biopsychosocial assessment Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or other evidence-based modalities Risk assessment and crisis intervention Treatment planning and goal setting Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation Motivational Interviewing Trauma-informed care Care coordination and case management
