Position Overview New Vision Behavioral Health Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our outpatient clinical team. This role focuses primarily on providing direct behavioral and mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. The ideal candidate will bring a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to care and be comfortable supporting individuals with a range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. At New Vision, we believe effective behavioral health care goes beyond treating symptoms. Our goal is to help clients build practical coping skills, improve emotional wellness, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives. Key Responsibilities
Direct Clinical Care
Provide individual, family, and other appropriate outpatient counseling services.
Complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs, strengths, goals, and clinical presentation.
Provide evidence-based interventions, including approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care.
Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, emotional regulation concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and other behavioral health needs.
Help clients develop coping skills, problem-solving strategies, emotional awareness, and healthier behavioral patterns.
Monitor client progress and update treatment goals and interventions as clinically appropriate.
Client-Centered & Trauma-Informed Care
Provide services using a compassionate, respectful, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approach.
Maintain awareness of trauma history and its potential impact on emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal functioning.
Create a therapeutic environment that promotes trust, safety, collaboration, and client choice.
Encourage clients to actively participate in their treatment goals and overall wellness planning.
Collaboration & Client Support
Collaborate with clinicians, case managers, medical providers, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
Coordinate services and referrals when additional community or behavioral health resources are needed.
Participate in clinical meetings, case consultations, treatment planning discussions, and organizational initiatives.
Communicate professionally with internal and external partners involved in client care when appropriate and authorized.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, payer, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Complete progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, discharge documentation, and other required clinical records.
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable professional and ethical standards.
Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and documentation review activities as needed.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
Active Ohio LPCC license in good standing.
Experience providing outpatient behavioral or mental health counseling services preferred.
Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and/or families is preferred.
Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT and trauma-informed care.
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to ethical, client-centered, and culturally responsive behavioral health care.

Job Summary
