New Priorities Family Services is a nonprofit co-occurring outpatient program with locations in Bend and Redmond, Oregon. Our Mission is to provide services to all individuals regardless of race, religion, age, gender, and socioeconomic status. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Desire to help others in a caring, professional manner Masters Degree in a social services field Familiar with evidenced based interventions Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check Be A Team Player As a co-occurring program, NPFS supports NPFS staff to obtain dual certification/licensure if interested, and provides supervision, training, and helps with certification/licensure fees. Licensed (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) counselors are encouraged to apply, and duties might include opportunity to supervise mental health counselors for NPFS with wages or contract work available.BENEFITS

DESCRIPTION
Under direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the mental health counselor assumes responsibility for providing mental health services for individuals and their families. Counselors will assess the individual to identify the needs of the client in order to provide support, services and housing if needed. Counselors will work with community partners, plan, utilize case management and coordination of resources for their clients and their families. Counselor will develop a treatment plan that is based on the individual client and that provides a treatment setting in order to develop coping skills, communication skills, and decision making skills, allowing individuals and their families to grow and develop into healthy, happy, successful and contributing members of their community. This might also include housing, acquiring jobs/education. The Bend location includes working with clients living in housing, working on living substance free, and co occurring mental health issues. Some clients have been incarcerated. Experience or knowledge in Substance Abuse is needed, training is available. Opportunity for advancement to lead counselor/supervisor.Job Types:
