Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive client assessments, including intake interviews, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning aligned with DSM-5 standards. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate addiction counseling, mental health support, and case management strategies. Document clinical interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following HIPAA guidelines and medical documentation standards. Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, facilitate referrals, and support clients' progress across home, community, hospital, or outpatient settings. Maintain confidentiality of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring accurate data collection for research and quality improvement initiatives. Requirements Valid certification as a CADC-1 with demonstrated experience in addiction counseling or behavioral health settings. Knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavioral management techniques. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, PTSD care, and crisis intervention strategies. Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and clinical documentation standards for accurate recordkeeping. Strong skills in client assessment in therapy, case management, intake procedures, and patient communication. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) systems such as EMR/EHR platforms; knowledge of HIPAA compliance is essential. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations from various cultural backgrounds within mental health and behavioral care environments. Excellent organizational skills to manage medical records, treatment plans, and clinical documentation efficiently.
