Description Drug & Alcohol Treatment Specialist Pay:
$41,647.00 - $45,163.00 per year Job description: This position is located at Maple Manor, 139 Minard Run Road, Bradford, PA 16701. Maple Manor is an inpatient alcohol and drug rehab facility that can accommodate 24 individuals. THE DUTIES
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and ASAM level-of-care evaluations
Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the interdisciplinary treatment team
Provide individual, group, and family counseling services using evidence-based practices and motivational interventions
Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups
Complete clinical documentation within required timeframes
Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans/reviews, discharge summaries, and case records7. Monitor client behavior, treatment participation, and progress toward established goals with interdisciplinary treatment team
Participate in crisis intervention, behavioral management, and de-escalation as needed within the residential setting
Communicate care needs with the case manager for medical providers, mental health professionals, case management, probation/parole, and community agencies
Participate in case conferences, and treatment team meetings
Maintain compliance with DDAP licensing standards
Support discharge planning and transition to lower levels of care
Promote trauma-informed, culturally competent, and person-centered care
Ensures confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
Transport clients to appointments, and other approved activities as needed in accordance with agency policies and safety procedures.
Develop discharge and continuing care plans to support ongoing recovery and community reintegration
Ensure compliance with DDAP regulations, ASAM criteria, confidentiality standards, and agency policies
Perform all other duties as assigned THE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to learn the drug and alcohol abusing subculture.
Ability to learn crisis intervention methods; individual, family, group and marital counseling techniques; and techniques for modifying behavior.
Ability to read and understand office guidelines and office forms, such as, liability forms, insurance forms, staffing forms, and consent forms.
Ability to learn to conduct individual, group, family and marital counseling sessions.
Ability to learn to write and update treatment plans, admission and discharge summaries, daily progress notes, monthly reports, form letters, and correspondence relating to specific clients.
Ability to learn to assess level of client dependency on substances, progress in treatment, and environmental factors influencing client. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
A Bachelor's degree with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in human services) or other behavioral science and two (2) years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency.
