Job Overview Serenity Mountain Recovery Center is seeking a passionate and dedicated Counselor to join our treatment team in our growing start-up location in Doylestown. The ideal candidate will be energetic, compassionate, flexible, and committed to fostering positive change in the lives of the men and women we serve.

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-admission screening, intake, biopsychosocial and clinical assessments with clients.
• Determine level of care placement and transitions for clients.
• Maintain active assigned caseload engaging in individual sessions and treatment planning.
• Provide discharge planning and post discharge outreach activities.
• Facilitate group counseling sessions, assist clients with developing life skills, and provide supportive opportunities for participants to improve activities of daily living which may include community outings.
• Coordinate individualized case management linkages for services for clients and referrals to appropriate levels of care or outside providers.
• Communicate with external providers (with proper releases) as appropriate.
• Conduct urine drug screens and document results.
• Document progress notes in accordance with DDAP and agency standards.
• Actively participate in treatment team and staff meetings.
• Communicate client progress and clinical concerns appropriately.
• Identify and respond to client crises within scope of role and escalate safety concerns to supervising clinician as required.
• Follow agency protocols for incident reporting.
• Complete clinical administrative work as necessary.
• Completes required training hours in a timely manner.
• Represent company at community and outreach events as assigned.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and organized office environment.
• Transport clients as assigned.
• Participate in on-call activities.

Qualifications:

• A master's degree or above from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or other related field which includes a practicum in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting, or
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in human services) or other related field and 1 year of clinical experience (a minimum of 1,820 hours) in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting with CADC or CAADC, or
• Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a registered nurse and a degree from an accredited school of nursing and 1 year of counseling experience (a minimum of 1,820 hours) in a health or human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol setting.
• LPC or LCSW highly preferred.
• Strong communication andorganizational skills;ability to receive and apply feedback.
• Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Experience with documentation in EMR (KIPU) preferred.
• Knowledge of ASAM assessment and DSM criteria.
• Experience working in a behavioral health environment (substance use disorders).
