Do you want to help students make positive changes in their lives? Buxmont Academy is seeking a counselor to work with our secondary education students at our Feasterville school. Our restorative practices-based staff focus on relationships and community-building and use a team approach to empower students to take ownership of their own learning.

Responsibilities include the following:

Building healthy relationships with adolescents. Providing individual and group counseling support. Implementing behavioral interventions and helping students work through challenging situations. Supporting students in developing social-emotional, behavioral, and conflict-resolution skills. This is a permanent full-time, 10-month school year position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. There are no evenings or weekends. Salary starts at $34,500, and benefits include health, dental, and vision insurances, 401K, free professional development offerings, employee assistance program (EAP), and other opportunities for professional and personal growth.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree is required, preferable in education, counseling, or human services field. Behavioral support experience. Experience working with adolescents. Strong oral and written communication. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to support student success. Ability to make recommendations, complete reports and timely submission of paperwork aligned with state mandates. Experience in restorative practices is a plus.
