Lebanon Outpatient Behavioral Health employs adult and child/adolescent psychiatrists, doctoral and master's prepared licensed psychologists, licensed social workers, licensed professional counselors, psychiatric nurses and behavioral health professionals. Services provided include psychiatric evaluations, medication management individual, family and group psychotherapy, a program for acute psychiatric diseases, as well as a variety of specialized group therapies. The least restrictive techniques are applied in treatment settings. Hours of operation are from 8am-7pm M-Thursday and Fridays 8-5pm. General Summary Provides individual, group and/or family therapy. Provides preadmission screening to determine appropriateness for admission. Interviews patients and/or families to obtain psycho-social histories. Collaborates with the treatment team to develop a treatment plan and coordinates discharge planning. WellSpan Philhaven Situated on more than 200 acres, WellSpan Philhaven's main campus in Mt. Our most comprehensive continuum of care, which includes more than 20 programs and services is located at this main campus. At WellSpan Philhaven, we help address mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention deficit disorder, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder and more. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions:
Conducts individual or group therapy sessions. Assesses patients' progress and modifies or extends treatment program accordingly. Provides therapeutic intervention with patient and family including individual, marital, parental, family and group therapies. Interviews patients and family members to obtain information about home environment, family relationships, health history, and patient's personality traits. Documents current, accurate observations of care to the patient in appropriate records. Coordinates care of assigned patients. Assists in the implementation of education and training experience for interns and other designated students. Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department. Common Expectations:
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s). Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
