A Mental or Behavioral Health Counselor works with patients to treat mental health problems. Assesses patients and assists with diagnosis, counseling and crisis intervention. Consults with nurses, doctors and psychiatrists. May work with specific populations, such as youth, senior citizens or substance abusers, in group settings, facilities or hospitals.

Job Description
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a mental health-related field. Behavior management skills/case management/ experience with special education students, especially those with emotional disturbances would be beneficial. Must have the ability to be trained and utilize TACT-2 methods of behavior assessment and apply restraint when necessary. Must have basic computer skills to utilize both CIU-20 computer-based and web-based programs . Description
