Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals facing various challenges. This role involves working with clients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing evidence-based practices to support their mental health needs. The Counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy sessions tailored to each client's unique situation. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their needs and develop appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on areas such as PTSD care, chronic pain counseling, and crisis intervention. Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress in compliance with organizational policies. Experience A degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required. Previous experience in outpatient or inpatient settings is preferred. Familiarity with behavioral health practices and crisis intervention strategies is essential. Skills in individual and group counseling and therapy techniques are highly desirable. Experience working with diverse populations and understanding various cultural backgrounds is a plus. Certification or licensure as a counselor or therapist is preferred but not mandatory.
