Purpose of this position: The Children's Service Center/Robinson Counseling Center's Substance Use Disorder Program (SUD-Program) which provides drug and alcohol clinical services is currently looking for an energetic and dependable person who works well collectively as a treatment team member. If you are ambitious and confident in your ability to learn and help others, the Substance Use Therapist/Counselor position is right for you. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Skilled in motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy Knowledgeable of supportive resources in Luzerne and Wyoming Counties Ability to maintain a patient centered approach Application of trauma informed care Current knowledge of drug trends and their effects Being well organized and adaptive within the work environment Children's Service Center/Robinson Counseling Center for adults creates a positive working culture of Care and Commitment for employees which extends to the children & families we serve. Bachelor's Degree or above from an accredited college or university, with a Major in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other related field which includes a practicum in a Health or Human Services agency Certification as an addictions counselor by statewide certification body is also acceptable One year of experiencing working with individuals with a substance use disorder is preferred
